In this guide, I'll show you how to connect AirPods to iPhone 16, and what to do if it doesn't work.
How to Connect AirPods to iPhone 16
This is the normal way to connect AirPods to an iPhone. It should only take a few seconds.
- Unlock your iPhone 16 and go to the home screen
- Open the AirPods case lid
- Hold the AirPods case close to your iPhone
- A setup animation will appear on your iPhone screen
- Tap "Connect"
- Tap "Done"
What to Do If AirPods Won't Connect
If your AirPods won't connect, try these troubleshooting steps in order:
- Make sure your AirPods are charged
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone
- Close the AirPods case lid, wait 15 seconds, then open it again
- Restart your iPhone
- Reset your AirPods: Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for 15 seconds until the light flashes amber then white
