Cleaning the toilet is probably the most hated household chore, but it doesn't have to be difficult. I've found a simple method that cleans the toilet bowl in just a few minutes and makes it sparkle. In this guide, I'll show you how to clean a toilet bowl using just baking soda and vinegar.
What You'll Need
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- A toilet brush
Step-by-Step Guide
- Flush the toilet to wet the inside of the bowl.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of baking soda around the inside of the bowl.
- Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the bowl. You'll see a fizzing reaction.
- Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Scrub the bowl with the toilet brush, making sure to get under the rim.
- Flush the toilet.
For Tough Stains
If you have tough stains that won't come off with baking soda and vinegar, you can use a pumice stone. Just wet the pumice stone and gently scrub the stains. Be careful not to scratch the porcelain.
