How to Delete Apps on iPhone 16 (3 Different Ways)
Deleting apps is a great way to free up storage space and make your home screen less cluttered. I delete at least 5 apps every month that I don't use anymore. If you have an iPhone 16, there are 3 different ways to delete apps. In this guide, I'll show you all of them.
Method 1: Delete Apps from Home Screen (Fastest)
This is the method everyone knows, and it's still the fastest way to delete apps.
- Touch and hold the app icon you want to delete
- Tap "Remove App"
- Tap "Delete App"
- Tap "Delete" to confirm
Method 2: Delete Multiple Apps at Once
If you want to delete a lot of apps at the same time, this method is much faster.
- Touch and hold any app icon on your home screen
- Tap "Edit Home Screen"
- Tap the minus sign in the top left corner of the app you want to delete
- Tap "Delete App"
- Repeat for all the apps you want to delete
- Tap "Done" in the top right corner when you're finished
Method 3: Delete Apps from Settings
This method is good if you want to see how much storage each app is taking up before you delete it.
- Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage
- Scroll down to see a list of all your apps
- Tap on the app you want to delete
- Tap "Delete App"
- Tap "Delete App" again to confirm
Offload Apps vs Delete Apps
Offloading an app deletes the app but keeps all your data. Deleting an app deletes everything. I usually offload apps that I might use again later, and delete apps that I know I'll never use again.
