How to Get Rid of Cockroaches Naturally (No Toxic Chemicals)
Cockroaches are the most disgusting pests ever. I had a cockroach problem in my apartment last year, and I was terrified. I didn't want to use toxic chemicals because I have a cat, so I tried every natural method I could find. In this guide, I'll show you the only natural method that actually works to get rid of cockroaches.
The Best Natural Cockroach Killer
This method is safe for pets and children, and it kills cockroaches within a week.
- Mix equal parts baking soda and sugar in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the mixture in areas where you see cockroaches: under the sink, behind the refrigerator, in the cabinets, and along the baseboards.
- The sugar will attract the cockroaches, and the baking soda will kill them when they eat it.
- Replace the mixture every few days until you don't see any more cockroaches.
How to Prevent Cockroaches From Coming Back
- Keep your kitchen clean. Don't leave food out on the counter, and wipe up spills immediately.
- Take the trash out every night.
- Store food in airtight containers.
- Fix any leaky pipes. Cockroaches are attracted to water.
- Seal any cracks or holes in your walls or floors.
What Doesn't Work
I tried using peppermint oil, bay leaves, and cucumber peels to repel cockroaches, and they didn't work at all. The only method that actually kills cockroaches is the baking soda and sugar mixture.
